Thank you to everyone who purchased our Catholic United Financial Raffle tickets. We sold 1740 tickets for a profit of $8,700. That is WONDERFUL! Archie Nistler's family was the top selling family having sold 134 tickets. Archie will receive the Wii system. Right behind Archie was Brayden & Noah Holthaus' family. They sold 102 tickets. Fantastic! The free classroom pizza party winner was the third grade!
Lenten Prayer Service - We had our first Lenten Prayer Service last Thursday. Mrs. Haggerty and Mrs. Kraemer lead the prayer service and helped the children reflect on the meaning of Lent. Our next Lenten Prayer Service will be this Thursday at 8:30 a.m.
Mini Speech Festival - April is Poetry Month. During the months of March and April, we ask each child (K-5) to memorize a poem or story. They will share it with their classmates. Students in Gr. 4 & 6 will have the opportunity to take part in the Area Catholic Schools Speech Festival on Saturday, April 28th. Thursday the teachers and principal shared their poems with the students as part of a "kick off" to Poetry month.
Conferences - Parent Teacher Conferences are on Tuesday (March 6th) and Thursday (March 8th).
Tuesday Night Bingo -Please join us on Tuesday, March 6th for Bingo at River Station. The fun begins at 7:00 a.m. The numbers for our progressive blackout is at 54 numbers for $500.
Baptismal Mass - We will celebrate February/August baptisms at our 8:30 a.m. mass on Wednesday, March 7th.
Gambling Meeting - The gambling committee will meet at 6:30 p.m. at Grandpa Jerry's, River Station on Thursday, March 8th.
No School - There will be NO SCHOOL on Friday, March 9th for students and teachers.
Sts. Peter & Paul School Carnival
Looking for something the whole family can do together? Sts. Peter & Paul School, Richmond, will host its annual School Carnival on Sunday, March 11th from 11:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. There is something for the whole family. The little ones will enjoy the Fishing Pond, Duck Stand, Lollipop Stand, Kids Korner, Flip the Fish, Plunko. The older family members will have the opportunity to challenge their skills at the Milk Can Toss,
Ring Toss, Balloons & Darts, basketball, Red Solo Cup toss, Wii challenge. Everyone will have fun trying their luck at Bingo, Cake Walk, Cherry Tree and Dice Game. There will be Vegas tickets and a giant raffle for the adults with over 100 prizes being given away. Raffle tickets are only $1.00 per chance. No Carnival is complete without food. Participants will be served taco in a bag, hamburgers, hotdogs, chicken patties, sno-cones, nacho cheese, cotton candy and more. Mark your calendars for Sunday, March 11th. Come for a couple of hours or stay the whole day. It promises to be a fun day for the entire family.
Pre-School Cookie Time - Our March Preschool Cookie Time will be held on Thursday, March 22nd at 9:00 a.m. Mrs. Ingman and her preschool class will be in charge of the activities. Please call 597-2565 if your preschool child will be attending.
Toddlers Have Class
Three and four year old children and their parents are invited to "Toddlers Have Class" at Sts. Peter & Paul School on Thursday night, March 22nd. The fun will begin at 6:30 p.m. Mrs Ingman, preschool teacher, will share stories, poems and activities with the children. Then they will have a chance for snacks and playtime in the preschool room. Participation is limited so please call 597.2565 to register your child before March 16th.
Sts. Peter & Paul Preschool
Sts. Peter & Paul School offers a preschool program for children ages 3 - 5 years. Sessions for 4 & 5 year olds are held from 8:30 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. on Monday, Wednesday and Fridays. Sessions for 3 year olds are held from 8:30 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday and Thursday. Children are engaged in a child-centered, emergent curriculum that integrates literacy, math, social studies, science, art, motor development and social skills into your child's day.
